Terms for clients

RidgeMark Structural ("RidgeMark") operates the RidgeMark Structural platform (the "Platform").

1. What RidgeMark provides. RidgeMark provides the Platform: a place to upload drawings, choose the members to be checked, and receive sealed documents. The review and sealing of each member is done by an independent sealer, a professional engineer (P.Eng.) or a qualified designer (BCIN), as you choose when you submit.
2. Who is responsible for a sealed member. The sealer who seals a member is solely and fully responsible for its design. RidgeMark does not review or seal your members and is not responsible for any sealer's work, advice, decisions or delays.
3. Sealers are independent. Sealers are not RidgeMark's employees or agents. RidgeMark checks each sealer's registration, identity and insurance before they can seal, and from time to time after, but that check is not a guarantee of their work.
4. Your drawings and information. You are responsible for the drawings and information you provide being accurate and complete, and for answering the sealer's questions. A sealed result is only as good as the drawings it is based on, and applies only to the drawing set and revision named on the sealed documents.
5. Only the chosen members. A seal covers only the members listed on the stamp and in the verification record, nothing else on the drawings.
6. Changes after sealing. Any change to the drawings after a member is sealed needs a new revision and a new review; earlier seals are then marked superseded.
7. Verification. Building officials and anyone holding a sealed document can check it at the RidgeMark verification page, which shows the project, address, revision, members and sealer.
8. Limits. To the extent the law allows, RidgeMark's responsibility to you is limited to providing the Platform and is limited to the fees you paid for the project.
