Structural Calcs, Reviewed and Sealed.

Beam calculations for your drawings, checked and sealed.

Upload your drawing set and choose the beams. Every value is read from your sheets and shows where it came from. An independent P.Eng. or BCIN sealer of your choice reviews, calculates and seals only the beams you choose, and every seal can be checked by the building department.

How it works

Your drawing set stays the source. Nothing is retyped: each span, width and load points back to the sheet it came from.

Upload your drawing set

The PDF exported straight from your drawing program. We check that the framing sheets can be measured.

Choose the beams

Enter the tags (B-1, B-2…). We find each one and read its size, supports, span, joists and the loads noted on the sheet.

Answer and submit

Anything unclear on the drawings comes back as a plain question. Answer, correct what's needed, and submit. The project locks while we review it.

A sealer reviews and seals

Choose a P.Eng. or a BCIN sealer. They confirm every value, calculate to OBC 2024 and CSA O86-19, and seal the beams that pass. You download sealed sheets and the calculation reports.

Who it's for

Builders and designers who need beam calculations behind a permit set, without redrawing anything.

Builders and contractors

  • Keep all your projects in one place and pick them up any time before you submit.
  • Only the beams you choose are sealed, and each one is marked on its sheet.
  • Need a change after submitting? Start a new revision. The submitted one stays on record.

Design firms (BCIN)

  • Upload the set exactly as issued. Revision and print date are read from your title block.
  • Beams drawn as outlines or as single lines, column symbols, LINE LOAD notes and wall offsets are all read.
  • Full and reduced calculation reports, with every input cited to its sheet.

Building officials: verify a seal

Every seal issued through RidgeMark Structural is printed with a verification code and QR code, bound to one project, address and drawing revision. Scan the QR code or enter the code to see exactly which beams it covers, and check the PDF you received against the issued file.

A seal without a code is not valid

If the code doesn't verify, or the page shows a different address, revision or beams than your copy, the seal has been copied. You can also call 705-704-9393 or email les@brhdg.com with the code.

P.Eng. or BCIN? Seal with RidgeMark Structural

Licensed engineers and qualified designers (BCIN) can review and seal beams for builders and designers. Projects arrive on a board with every value already read from the drawings and cited to its sheet. Take one at a time, review it, and seal it under your own name.

Apply to seal

What we check before you can seal

  • Your licence or BCIN, its status and categories, on the public registry.
  • That you are you: a code sent to the contact the registry lists for you.
  • Your professional liability insurance and your firm's registration.
  • Your signed sealer agreement: you are responsible for what you seal.

Getting the best read from your drawings

Export, don't print

Export the PDF from your drawing program (Chief Architect: File › Export › Export PDF). Printing to a PDF printer can turn sheets into pictures, which can't be measured.

Tag and note

Give every beam a tag (B-1, B-2…), keep the climatic & design load table on the set, note wall loads (LINE LOAD D=… L=… S=… PLF) and loads from posts above (POINT LOAD D=… L=… S=… LBS, with a leader to where the post lands), and fill in the revision table. Schedules pasted in as pictures are read too.
